Note the CLT-353R is no longer available. We can still provide a customized CLT-353L that is functionally equivalent to the CLT-353R. The CLT-353R and CLT-353L Camera Link Translators convert Camera Link to RS-422 & LVDS, enabling the use of Camera Link cameras with frame grabbers and imaging systems incorporating traditional RS-422 and LVDS parallel digital interfaces. The “R” and “L” versions support RS-422 and LVDS interfaces, respectively.
These Camera Link converters feature an RS-232 port for camera communication and are very useful for replacing obsolete RS-422 & LVDS cameras in existing imaging systems.
The Camera Link adapters are housed in sturdy, compact aluminum enclosures.

Note that the CLT-353 frame grabber connector pinout is not compatible with our earlier CLT-351 model.
Camera has the mini (HDR/SDR) connector?
This product incorporates the standard (MDR) connector. Camera Link cables are readily available with the standard (MDR) connector on one end and the mini (HDR/SDR) connector on the other. Note that the CLT-353 does not support PoCL.
Cable Length Note:
To ensure data integrity, we recommend limiting Camera Link cable length for cameras with high clock frequencies as follows:
Camera Frequency
Max Cable Length
20-60 MHz
10m
61-79 MHz
7m
80-85 MHz
5m
For example, the cable used to connect the camera to the translator should be no longer than 5m with an 85 MHz camera.
