The CLS-211 Camera Link Simulator is an economical video test pattern generator supporting all Camera Link configurations (base, medium, full, 80-bit). Fully programmable video timing enables the CLS-211 to mimic the characteristics of cameras with video clock rates up-to (and beyond) the Camera Link 85 MHz maximum.
The CLS-211 is controlled using a PC with a standard RS-232 serial port. Alternatively, the CLS-211 can be connected to a PC USB port using an optional adapter. CLS-211 control is performed via a simple, straightforward, Command Line Interface (CLI). No special software is required. Configuration files are easily created with user parameters and downloaded to the CLS-211.
The CLS-211 Camera Link Simulator is very useful for the development, test, and integration of Camera Link components and systems. The CLS-211 is housed in a sturdy aluminum enclosure.
The CLS-211 now incorporates the AIA validation test pattern. The validation test pattern is a 410-frame LFSR (i.e. pseudorandom) sequence used to evaluate the performance of Camera Link components. This feature was introduced in September 2016 and is found in units with serial number M17001 and higher.
Mature Product. Please consider our newer CLS-221 Camera Link Simulator. The CLS-221 supports all video formats including those introduced in the new Camera Link version 2.1, has enhanced features, and is easy to use with included quick-configuration software (note the CLS-221 command set differs slightly from CLS-211).
